Together Notes support

How can we help?

Together Notes keeps your notes as plain Markdown files in a git repository you own. Here are answers to the most common questions.

Where are my notes?

In a git repository. On iPhone and iPad it lives inside the app’s Documents; on the Mac, under Application Support. If you connected a remote such as GitHub, every note is also in that repository — open it with any editor or on your git host.

Do I need an account?

No. A local profile works forever without any account. Connecting GitHub or another git remote is optional and only used to sync your own repository.

What does the purchase unlock?

Everything, permanently, on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, with Family Sharing. The 3-day trial is fully featured; after it ends the app is read-only — your notes stay readable and keep syncing — until you unlock.

Purchases on a new device?

Tap Unlock → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple Account.

Something looks wrong or there is a sync conflict?

Nothing is ever lost: every version of every note is kept in git history. Open a note’s History in the app, or your repository’s history on your git host.
